Every stand has a table, and on most of them it's a trestle with a creased cloth draped over it and a box of leaflets visible underneath.

A stretch tablecloth fixes that. The fabric pulls over the table like a fitted sheet and hooks under the feet, so it sits taut on all four sides with no folds, no gaps and no sagging. Your branding covers the whole thing.

Fully Enclosed or Open Back?

This is the only real decision, and it's worth getting right.

Fully enclosed covers all four sides from top to floor. The cleanest look, and the right choice when the table stands in the open or the back is visible to the public.

Open back has an arched cut-out in the rear panel. It looks identical from the front, but you can reach underneath.

That cut-out earns its place at any event where you need somewhere to put things. Stock, spare leaflets, coats, bags, the kettle — all of it goes under the table and out of sight rather than stacked behind you. For exhibitions and fairs where you're on a stand all day, open back is usually the practical answer.

The Table

A folding 6ft trestle table, supplied with the cloth:

The carry handle matters more than it sounds. A folded trestle table without one is an awkward thing to get across a car park; with it, one person manages the table and the cloth in a single trip.

Fire Rated

The fabric is M1/B1 fire rated, meeting UK and European fire safety standards.

Worth knowing because venues increasingly ask. Exhibition centres, conference venues and public buildings often require fire certification for soft furnishings on a stand, and a standard tablecloth won't have it. This one does as standard, at no extra cost.

The Fabric

260gsm stretch polyester, dye-sublimation printed and sewn to shape in-house.

Dye-sublimation puts the ink into the fibres rather than on the surface, so colours are rich, there's no sheen to catch the lights, and the print won't crack or peel where the fabric stretches over the corners.

It's machine washable, which matters for something that spends its life on exhibition stands collecting coffee rings and fingerprints. Wash at 30°C without detergent and let it dry fully before refitting.

Designing a Tablecloth

Three things worth knowing before you start.

Only the front is really seen. Visitors approach from the front and stand at it. The top gets covered in leaflets and laptops within ten minutes. Put your name and message on the front panel and treat the rest as background.

Each side needs its own orientation. The template lays out all the panels flat, and the rear, left and right sides need their artwork rotating to sit the right way up on the finished cloth. It's the most common mistake on tablecloth artwork.

Don't wrap detailed shapes around corners. Fabric moves slightly during printing, cutting and sewing, so a logo or line that should continue seamlessly from the front round to the side won't always meet precisely. Keep each panel's design self-contained.

Artwork Requirements

• Supply at the exact size of the template — these are set at 100% scale and must not be resized
• Rotate the artwork for each panel so every side reads correctly when fitted
• Fonts outlined, images embedded
• Important content inside the safe areas, background running to the bleed line
• All design elements on the Design layer — the guide layer is set to non-printing, so anything placed there won't appear
• Remove all template guide lines, crop marks and registration marks
• PDF preferred, AI or EPS also accepted
• No Pantone colours — dye-sublimation can't reproduce them, so convert to CMYK first

Free templates are available for both fully enclosed and open back. Check your exported file before sending — the non-printing layer catches people out, and artwork placed on it simply won't print.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.
