Postcard Printing
A5 and A6 postcards on premium stocks — from just 25 cards, delivered free.
Postcards for Promotions, Mailers and Thank You Cards
Postcards do a job email can't. They arrive without being opened, they get read at a glance, and a good one ends up pinned to a noticeboard rather than deleted. Direct mail campaigns, product launches, event announcements, gallery handouts, retail inserts and thank you notes with orders all work well in this format.
We print postcards in A5 and A6, full colour, in runs from just 25. Multiple artwork sets can be run in a single order, which makes seasonal ranges and mixed event packs straightforward rather than a series of separate orders.
Choosing Your Size
- A5 (148 x 210mm) — the larger option. Room for a proper message, an image and contact details without crowding. Better for promotional mailers where the card is doing the selling.
- A6 (105 x 148mm) — the classic postcard size. Compact, cheaper to post, and the right choice for thank you cards, inserts and high-volume mailings.
Paper Stocks
Four stocks, and the choice matters more here than on most products because postcards get handled, posted and often written on:
- 300gsm Invercote — a premium coated board with a bright white surface and excellent colour reproduction. The best choice where print quality is the priority.
- 350gsm silk — a smooth, low-sheen finish that holds colour well and feels substantial. The most popular all-round option.
- 350gsm uncoated — the one to choose if anyone will be writing on the card. Takes pen and ink cleanly without smudging or beading, which coated stocks don't. Essential for traditional postcards, RSVP cards and anything hand-addressed.
- 450gsm silk — our heaviest, and noticeably rigid. Survives the post without corner damage and gives the most premium impression in the hand.
If you're unsure: pick uncoated if it will be written on, and silk or Invercote if the print is doing the work.
Lamination
Gloss, matt and soft touch lamination are available, applied to one side only. That's deliberate, and useful — the laminated face gets the protection and finish, while the unlaminated reverse stays writable.
- Gloss — high shine, lifts colour saturation. Best for image-led designs.
- Matt — low sheen, resists fingerprints, understated.
- Soft touch — velvety and tactile. The most premium of the three.
Bear in mind you can't write on a laminated surface with a standard pen, so if the card is being hand-addressed or personalised, keep that side unlaminated.
Posting Your Postcards
If the postcards are going in the post, size and thickness affect what you'll pay. Royal Mail's letter rate covers items up to 240 x 165mm and 5mm thick, so both A5 and A6 postcards fall within letter dimensions at every stock weight we offer.
Worth checking current Royal Mail guidance before committing to a large mailing, as rates and thresholds change. If you're posting in volume, it's also worth confirming your mailing house or franking provider is happy with the stock weight you've chosen.

Every file is checked by a real person before it goes to print, so obvious problems get flagged rather than printed. Please note we don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.
Turnaround & Delivery
Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent jobs, or 3–4 working days for standard production. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed.
Turnaround is production time only and doesn't include delivery. Once dispatched, orders are sent by courier. Standard UK delivery is free on all postcard orders, whatever the size or quantity.
Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.
Looking for something lighter for handouts rather than mailing? Our A6 flyers cover the same size on paper stocks from 150gsm.
FAQs
What's the minimum order?
25 postcards.
What sizes are available?
A5 (148 x 210mm) and A6 (105 x 148mm).
Can I write on these postcards?
Yes, if you choose 350gsm uncoated — it takes pen cleanly. Coated stocks and laminated surfaces don't accept standard pen ink well, so pick uncoated if the card will be hand-written or addressed.
Which stock should I choose?
300gsm Invercote for the best print reproduction. 350gsm silk as the popular all-rounder. 350gsm uncoated if it will be written on. 450gsm silk for the heaviest, most premium feel.
Can I have lamination on both sides?
No. Lamination is applied to one side only, which leaves the reverse writable — useful for mailers and hand-addressed cards.
Can I upload more than one design?
Yes. Multiple artwork sets are allowed in a single order, so mixed designs and seasonal ranges can be run together.
Can I post them as letters?
Both A5 and A6 fall within Royal Mail letter dimensions at all our stock weights. Check current Royal Mail guidance before a large mailing, as rates and thresholds change.
Is delivery really free?
Yes. Standard UK delivery is included on all postcard orders, with no minimum spend.
