Why Choose Printed Letterheads

A letterhead does two jobs at once. It carries your branding onto every invoice, quotation and contract you send, and it signals that the document came from an established business rather than a laptop and a home printer.

We print A4 letterheads in full colour on uncoated stock, in runs from 100 sheets. Every sheet is supplied flat and is compatible with standard laser and inkjet office printers, so you can overprint your own text as you need it.

Paper Weights

All three stocks are uncoated, so they take pen and printer toner cleanly. The practical difference is how they feed through office printers:

• 90gsm — closest to standard copier paper. Feeds reliably through every office printer, including older and lower-spec machines. The safe choice if letterheads will be overprinted in volume.
• 120gsm — noticeably more substantial without causing feed problems on most modern printers. The best balance of quality and practicality, and the weight most businesses settle on.
• 170gsm — thick and premium, closer to a light card. Worth checking your printer's specification before ordering, as some desktop machines struggle to feed stock this heavy. Best suited to letterheads that are pre-printed complete rather than overprinted in-house.

Designing a Letterhead You Can Overprint

Most office printers can't print right to the edge of the page, and they leave an unprintable margin of roughly 5mm on all sides. This matters more for letterheads than for most print, because you'll be running the sheets back through your own printer.

If your design has full-bleed colour running to the edge, we'll print it correctly — but anything you overprint at the office will be confined to the printable area inside that margin. Keep your typed content well clear of the edges, and check where your logo and footer sit relative to where your own printer can reach.

It's worth printing one test sheet through your own printer before committing to a large run.

Single or Double Sided

Single sided is standard, and suits most business correspondence — it leaves the reverse clear for continuation pages or overprinting.

Double sided works when you want terms and conditions, accreditations or registered company details on the back. Common for contracts and formal quotations, where the reverse would otherwise be blank.

Artwork Requirements

A free blank A4 template is available for the full Adobe Suite.

Every file is checked by a real person before it goes to print, so obvious problems get flagged rather than printed. Please note we don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent jobs, or 3–4 working days for standard production. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed.

Turnaround is production time only and doesn't include delivery. Once dispatched, orders are sent by courier. Standard UK delivery is free on all letterhead orders, whatever the quantity.

What size are your letterheads?
A4, 210 x 297mm. Supplied flat, not folded.

Which paper weight should I choose?
90gsm feeds reliably through any office printer. 120gsm is more substantial and works in most modern machines. 170gsm is the most premium but is heavy enough that some desktop printers won't feed it — check your printer's maximum paper weight before ordering.

Can I put them through my own printer?
Yes. All three stocks are uncoated and suitable for laser and inkjet printers. Bear in mind most office printers leave an unprintable margin of around 5mm at the edges, so keep overprinted content clear of the edge of the page.

Can I write on them by hand?
Yes. The uncoated surface takes pen and pencil cleanly without smudging or beading.

Should I print single or double sided?

Do you check my artwork before printing?
Yes — a real person checks every file to confirm it's correctly sized, has bleed, and is print-ready. We don't amend or fix artwork files.
