A presentation cheque has one job: to be photographed. The handover shot goes in the local paper, on the charity's social media, in the company newsletter — and the cheque is the thing everyone's looking at in it.

Printed in full colour on 5mm foam board with a dry wipe laminate, so you can update the name, amount and date and use it again next time. Three sizes, no minimum order.

Reusable, Which Matters More Than You'd Think

The dry wipe finish is the reason to buy one of these rather than a printed board.

Leave the payee, amount and date blank in your design, and fill them in on the day with a dry wipe marker. After the event, wipe it clean and it's ready for the next one. For a company running several charity handovers a year, or a golf club with a presentation every season, one cheque covers the lot.

Print the details permanently instead if the cheque is a keepsake for a one-off — plenty of recipients frame them.

Sizes

• 800 x 400mm — the smallest. Comfortable for one person to hold, and fine for a photo taken close up.
• 1000 x 500mm — the most popular. A two-person hold, and big enough that the amount reads clearly in a photo taken from across a room.
• 1200 x 600mm — the largest. Real presence, and the choice for bigger sums, larger groups in the photo, or when the image is going on a stage screen.

If several people are in the photograph, go larger. A group of six behind an 800mm cheque looks cramped, and the cheque disappears behind hands.

5mm Foam Board

Rigid enough to hold flat at 1200mm without bowing in the middle — which is what separates a good presentation photo from an awkward one. A flimsy board sags between two people and the shot looks amateurish.

It's also light. Someone holds this at arm's length while a photographer takes twenty shots, and weight matters more than people expect.

The dry wipe laminate protects the print and gives you the writable, wipeable surface.

Designing a Presentation Cheque

Worth reading before you send artwork, because this is a piece of print designed entirely around a photograph.

The amount should be enormous. It's the reason the photo exists. Whatever size you think is right, go bigger — press photos get cropped and compressed, and a modest figure disappears.

Leave room for hands. Two people hold a cheque at the left and right edges, usually at the bottom corners. Keep logos and text well clear of those areas or they'll be covered in every single photograph.

Sponsor logos need to survive compression. A logo that looks fine on screen turns to mush in a Facebook-compressed news photo. Fewer, larger logos beat a row of small ones.

Leave the writable areas light. If you're filling in the payee and amount by hand, those boxes need a pale background — dry wipe marker on a dark panel is unreadable.

Consider the background of the photo. A white cheque against a white wall gives a flat image. A coloured border or a strong brand colour helps it stand out in the shot.

Turnaround & Delivery

Production takes 3–4 working days, starting the working day after you order. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

UK delivery is £6.50 per order. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.

If the cheque is for a fixed event date, order with a few days in hand. Artwork queries are the usual cause of delay, and there's no second chance on a presentation date.
