Google is where people check a business before they call it — the star rating, what other customers said, whether the last review was last week or three years ago. For most local businesses it's the single most influential thing on the internet about them, and it's the first thing anyone looks at.

A Google sticker on the van or the window says: go and look. Which is a confident thing to say, and customers read it that way.

Only Worth It If the Reviews Are Good

Worth being straight about this. A Google sticker is an invitation to check your rating, and it works in both directions.

If you're sitting at 4.5 or above with a decent number of reviews, it's one of the most persuasive stickers you can put on a vehicle. If your rating is thin or middling, it's an own goal — you're actively directing people to something that'll put them off.

Inside or Outside Glass?

A choice most people don't realise they have.

Standard adhesive sticks to the back of the vinyl, so the sticker goes on the outside of a surface — van panels, painted metal, plastic, or the outside of glass.

Face adhesive puts the glue on the printed side, so the sticker applies to the inside of glass and reads correctly from outside. That's what you want for shop windows, office doors and vehicle rear screens.

Inside application is worth choosing wherever you can. The sticker is protected from weather, jet washes, road grit and anyone picking at the corner, so it lasts considerably longer and stays clean.

Sizes

• 80 x 80mm — the smallest. Suits packaging, counters, till points and door glass read close up.
• 100 x 100mm — the common choice for shop windows and office doors.
• 120 x 120mm — a step up in visibility. Works on car doors and smaller vans.
• 150 x 150mm — readable across a car park. The usual size for van side panels.
• 200 x 200mm — the largest. Rear doors, larger vehicles and signage panels seen at distance.

Think about viewing distance rather than available space. A sticker read from the pavement can be small; one read from another lane can't.

The Material

Polymeric vinyl rather than the cheaper monomeric grade. Polymeric is more dimensionally stable, so it doesn't shrink back from the edges over time — the reason budget vehicle stickers develop a white border after a year outdoors.

A matching gloss laminate goes over the print, protecting it from UV fade, scratches, road grit and washing. The Google mark uses four distinct colours that everyone knows by heart, so any fading shows up immediately — the laminate is what keeps the blue, red, yellow and green looking right.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and for a vehicle that gets driven and washed regularly.

Applying Them

Peel and stick, no tools needed. Four things that make the difference between a clean application and a bubbled one:

Clean the surface properly. Warm soapy water, then dry it completely. Wax, polish and road film all stop vinyl bonding.

Don't apply in the cold. Adhesive doesn't grip well below about 10 degrees. Pick a mild day, or bring the panel indoors.

Work from the middle out. Squeegee or thumb from the centre towards the edges, pushing air ahead of you rather than trapping it.

Leave it before washing. Give the adhesive a couple of days to bond fully before a jet wash goes near it.

FAQs

What sizes are available?
80 x 80mm, 100 x 100mm, 120 x 120mm, 150 x 150mm and 200 x 200mm.

What's the minimum order?
There isn't one. Order a single sticker or as many as you need.

Can I stick it inside a window?
Yes. Choose face adhesive and it applies to the inside of glass while reading correctly from outside. Better protected and longer lasting.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. Polymeric vinyl with a gloss laminate handles rain, UV and general weathering.

Can it go on a vehicle?
Yes, on body panels or glass. It'll survive normal driving and washing — just leave a couple of days after application before jet washing.

Will the four colours print accurately?
Yes. Full-colour print reproduces the mark cleanly, and the laminate stops the colours fading unevenly over time.

What surfaces work best?
Smooth, clean surfaces: glass, painted panels, metal and most plastics. Textured or dirty surfaces won't hold.

Can it be removed later?
Yes, and when removed carefully from a suitable surface it's designed to leave minimal residue.
