Our café barrier printing service is designed for businesses that want to combine practicality with strong branding. Perfect for cafés, bars, restaurants and events, these barriers create clear boundaries for outdoor seating or queuing areas while promoting your business with vibrant full-colour graphics.

Each system includes powder-coated steel posts, weighted bases and your bespoke printed graphic. Assembly takes minutes, no tools needed, and the modular design means each post collar connects up to four rails — so right-angle corners and enclosed layouts are straightforward.

Sizes and Measurements

Three sizes, named by the approximate span between posts. The graphic itself is narrower than the kit name suggests, because the posts and bases sit outside it — worth checking the figures below against the space you're filling.

Measure the run you need to fill and work from the overall footprint figure, not the graphic width. A 2000 kit takes up 2420mm of pavement once the bases are down.

Full Kits and Extension Kits

Full kit — two bases, two vertical posts, one horizontal crossbar, two spring clips and your printed graphic. Stands on its own.

Extension kit — one base, one vertical post, one crossbar, two spring clips and a graphic. Joins onto an existing post, so it can't stand alone.

For a run of barriers, order one full kit and then extension kits for each additional span. A three-panel run is one full kit plus two extensions, rather than three full kits — cheaper, and it avoids doubling up posts where panels meet.

Choosing Your Material

Display/Stretch Polyester — a solid fabric, dye-sublimation printed for deep colour saturation and long-lasting vibrancy. Considerably better than the PVC banner material most suppliers use on café barriers. The standard choice, and the right one for most sites.

Fabric Mesh Premium — a perforated mesh that lets wind pass through rather than catching it. Worth considering on exposed or windy sites, or anywhere the barriers stay out in unpredictable weather. Colour is slightly less dense than solid fabric because of the perforations.

Single or Double Sided

Single sided prints the outward face. Fine where the barrier backs onto a wall, or where only passing trade needs to see it.

Double sided prints both faces, with a blockout lining between them so neither design shows through the other. Worth it for a barrier standing in open pavement where people pass on both sides, or where the inward face carries a menu or offer for seated customers.

Double-sided graphics also have no visible horizontal stitching, which means your design can use the full printed area without a seam running through it. Most café barriers on the market don't manage that.

Multiple Designs at No Extra Cost

There's no additional charge for more than one design in an order, however many kits you're buying and whether they're single or double sided.

Useful for a run of barriers where each panel carries something different — menu, offers, opening hours, branding — rather than the same graphic repeated four times.

Artwork Requirements

Free templates are available. A few things worth knowing before you supply artwork:

• Double-sided orders need both pages supplied, even if the two sides are identical.
• Fonts outlined, images embedded, document bleed included.
• Remove template elements — guide lines, boxes and markings — before exporting.
• PDF preferred, AI or EPS also accepted.
• No Pantone colours. The dye-sublimation process can't reproduce them, so convert to CMYK before supplying your file.

On single-sided graphics the stitching line along the pole pocket is marked on the template — worth checking nothing important falls on it. Our thread is black or white, chosen to suit your graphic.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Care and Maintenance

• Take graphics down in winds above Beaufort scale 4 (13–18mph) or in heavy rain. A café barrier presents a large flat surface to the wind, and leaving it up in a gale is how they get damaged.
• Machine washable at 30°C without detergent. Air dry completely before storing.
• Clean regularly — pollution builds up on white and light areas, and it's easier to prevent than remove.
• Disconnect crossbars before moving assembled barriers, or you'll bend something.
• With proper care, a graphic typically lasts around a year of regular outdoor use.

Turnaround & Delivery

Production takes 3–4 working days. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

Hardware and graphics are often dispatched separately for efficiency, so don't be concerned if one arrives before the other.

Standard UK delivery is free on all café barrier orders. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.

FAQ

What size do I need?
Work from the overall footprint rather than the kit name. A 1000 kit occupies 1420mm, a 1500 occupies 1920mm, and a 2000 occupies 2420mm once the bases are down.

What's the difference between a full kit and an extension kit?

Can I use café barriers indoors as well as outdoors?
Yes. They're ideal for indoor queue management or sectioning areas at exhibitions and events, and the base has a non-marking ring to protect flooring.

Are the graphics waterproof?
The fabric is water-resistant and made for outdoor use in typical UK conditions, but take graphics down in heavy rain and high wind.

Which material should I choose?
Display/Stretch Polyester for most sites — deeper colour and the standard option. Fabric Mesh Premium on exposed or windy locations, where letting wind through matters more than colour density.

Can I order replacement graphics?
Yes. Replacement single or double-sided graphics can be ordered separately to refresh a display or update branding, keeping the hardware you already have.

Can I have different designs on each panel?
Yes, at no extra charge, however many kits you order.

Do I need tools to assemble them?
No. The kit connects with crossbars and spring clips, and goes together in minutes.

Can I join barriers at a corner?
Yes. Each post collar accepts up to four rails, so right angles and tighter angles are both possible.

How long do the graphics last?
Around a year of regular outdoor use with proper care, depending on weather exposure.

Is delivery really free?
