Why Choose DL Flyer Printing

DL is the standard slim flyer format, sized to fit a DL envelope without folding. At 99 x 210mm it's a third of an A4 sheet, which makes it the natural choice for direct mail, leaflet racks, till-point displays, and anywhere space is narrow but you still need room for a proper message.

The shape does a lot of the work. Tall and slim reads well in a rack where only the top portion is visible, and it slips into a bag, pocket or envelope without creasing. It's the format most takeaway menus, event flyers, and service leaflets end up using for exactly that reason.

We print DL flyers in full colour on silk stock, in runs from 25 up to 100,000, so short runs for a single event are as straightforward as a large campaign.

Paper Stocks — Which Weight Do You Need?

We offer five silk stocks, and the right one depends on how your flyers will be used:

• 150gsm — our lightest and most economical option. Ideal for door drops, bulk handouts, and campaigns where volume matters more than feel.
• 170gsm — a small step up in body. A good middle ground for general promotional flyers and mailers.
• 250gsm — noticeably more substantial. Well suited to menus, price lists, and anything handled repeatedly.
• 350gsm — closer to a card than a flyer. Good for premium handouts and inserts that need to feel considered.
• 450gsm — our heaviest stock. Effectively a card weight, ideal for pieces that need to stand up in a rack or survive regular handling.

Stock weight matters more at DL than at most sizes. The slim shape means lighter paper can flop in a display rack, so if your flyers are going into a stand rather than an envelope, the heavier weights hold their shape far better.

All stocks are available single or double sided. Double-sided printing costs slightly more but gives you twice the space — useful for menus, opening times, or contact details on the reverse.

Size & Artwork Requirements

Finished size is 99 x 210mm. With bleed, artwork should be supplied at 105 x 216mm.

Free blank templates are available for the full Adobe Suite to help you set your artwork up correctly.

Every file is checked by a real person before it goes to print, so obvious problems get flagged rather than printed. Please note we don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day or 3–4 working day turnaround. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed, so a 1-day order placed on Monday is dispatched Wednesday.

Turnaround is production time only and doesn't include delivery. Once dispatched, orders are sent on a next day courier service. Standard UK delivery is free on all DL flyer orders, whatever the quantity.

Finished DL is 99 x 210mm. With 3mm bleed on all sides, supply your artwork at 105 x 216mm.

Do you check my artwork?
Yes — a real person checks every file before printing. We'll flag problems, but we don't make changes or fixes, so please supply print-ready files.

Is delivery really free?
Yes. Standard UK delivery is included on all DL flyer orders, with no minimum spend.

Do I pay VAT on flyers?
Flyers are often zero-rated for VAT, but this depends on what's printed on them. If your artwork makes the order liable for VAT, we'll contact you for payment before printing.
