Pull-Up Banners That Fit on a Desk

The same mechanism as a full-size roller banner, scaled down to sit on a counter, a table or a reception desk. Pull the graphic up, it stands on its own, and it rolls back into the base when you're done.

Useful anywhere a full banner would be overkill or simply won't fit — trade show tables, till points, reception desks, conference tables, salon counters, market stalls. They also work as tabletop menus and price displays that stand up without a stand.

Sizes

• A4 (210 x 297mm) — the compact option. Fits comfortably on a busy counter without taking over, and small enough that several can sit along a table without crowding.
• A3 (297 x 420mm) — twice the area and considerably more presence. The better choice if the banner needs to be read from a few feet away rather than by someone standing at the counter.

If it's carrying a price list, opening times or anything with detail, A3 is usually the safer choice — A4 gets crowded quickly once you're working with more than a headline and a logo.

The Print Material

Printed on 330gsm grey-back PVC, the same material as our full-size roller banners.

The grey backing blocks light, which matters more than you'd expect on a small banner — a desktop unit often sits near a window or under bright retail lighting, and without a backing the graphic would show through and wash out.

At 330gsm the material holds its shape rather than curling at the edges, which is what keeps a small banner looking sharp rather than flimsy when someone's standing right in front of it.

Designing a Desktop Banner

The design rules are different from a full-size banner, because the viewing distance is different.

People are close to it. Where a two-metre banner is read from across a room, a desktop unit is read from a metre or less. That means small type is legible — but it also means print quality is scrutinised. Resolution matters.

The bottom rolls into the base. Less than on a full-size banner, but still worth allowing for. Keep essential content clear of the very bottom edge.

Don't scale down a big banner. A design built to be read at ten paces has type far larger than it needs at desk level, and it'll look shouty and empty up close. Start from the template rather than shrinking existing artwork.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent orders, or 3–4 working days as standard. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed, and turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

Standard UK delivery is free on all desktop roller banner orders, whatever the size or quantity. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.

Need something floor-standing? Our standard roller banners run from 800mm to 1500mm wide at 2000mm tall.

Should I choose A4 or A3?
A4 for a compact counter display with a simple message. A3 if the banner carries detail or needs to be read from a few feet away.

Can I reuse it?
Yes. The graphic rolls back into the base for storage between uses.

How long does it take?
1 working day or 3–4 working days production, starting the day after you order, with delivery on top.
