Every event needs boards. A branded welcome sign at reception, arrows pointing at breakout rooms, an agenda by the door, a sponsor board in the foyer. None of it is complicated, all of it is noticed if it's missing or looks cheap.

We print event boards on 5mm foam board in A1 or A2, from a single board, in two working days. Supply your artwork and we'll handle the rest.

What Events Use Them For

• Welcome and registration signs — branded boards at the entrance and the check-in desk.
• Directional signage — breakout rooms, seminar halls, catering, cloakroom, toilets. The unglamorous boards that stop your staff spending the day giving directions.

Sizes

• A2 (420 x 594mm) — the workhorse for directional and informational signage. Big enough to read from a few paces, small enough to place several around a venue without dominating it.
• A1 (594 x 841mm) — for main welcome boards, agendas and anything at the entrance. Reads properly across a busy foyer.

A common approach is one A1 at reception and several A2s doing the directional work around the venue.

Ordering Several Boards

Most corporate orders are a set rather than a single board. Each design is added as a separate item, so a welcome board, an agenda and four directional signs are six items in one order — printed together, delivered together.

Worth knowing if you run recurring events: keep the artwork files and you can reorder identical boards in two working days when the next one comes round. Only the dated boards need changing.

Gloss or Matt?

For corporate work, matt is usually the right answer.

Conference venues and hotels are lit heavily from above, and gloss reflects that lighting straight back at anyone trying to read the board from an angle. Matt stays legible from anywhere in the room, and it photographs cleanly — which matters if boards appear in event photography or on social media.

Gloss gives deeper, more saturated colour and suits image-led boards in softer lighting. It's the better choice where the board is decorative rather than informational.

The Board

Printed on 5mm solid PVC foam board — rigid enough to stand on an easel without bowing, light enough for one person to carry and reposition during setup.

Solid board rather than paper-faced foam, so the edges stay clean and it won't dent when it's being moved around a venue. It survives transport, setup and takedown, and it stores flat between events if the branding isn't changing.

Boards are supplied printed only — easels aren't included. Most conference venues and hotels have them, though it's worth confirming with the venue rather than assuming.

Designing Event Signage

Directional boards need less on them than you think. An arrow and two or three words. Someone reading it is walking, usually late, and scanning for one piece of information.

Keep type large on agenda boards. A full-day agenda squeezed onto A1 in 14pt ends up as a board nobody can read without standing directly in front of it, which creates a bottleneck at the door.

Check your brand colours convert. Corporate palettes are usually specified in RGB or Pantone, and printing converts to CMYK. Vivid blues and bright corporate greens in particular can shift noticeably. If exact brand matching matters, worth flagging when you order.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Production takes 2 working days from receipt of artwork. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

UK delivery is £6.50 per order, reflecting the size of the boards. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.

For an event with a fixed date, order with a few days in hand rather than to the deadline. Artwork problems are the usual cause of delay, and a day's margin removes the risk entirely.

Can I reuse boards for the next event?
