Why Choose Printed Compliment Slips

A compliment slip does a small job well. Enclosed with an invoice, a delivery or a returned document, it tells the recipient a person handled it rather than a system — and it carries your branding into correspondence where a full letterhead would be overkill.

We print compliment slips at standard DL size (210 x 99mm), full colour on uncoated stock, in runs from 100. The uncoated surface takes pen and pencil cleanly, so handwritten notes and signatures won't smudge or bead.

Paper Weights

All three stocks are uncoated. The right weight depends on how the slip will be used:

• 90gsm — the most economical, and closest to standard letter paper. Fine for slips that go straight into an envelope, though heavier pens may show through if you're printing double sided.
• 120gsm — a noticeable step up in substance without moving into card territory. The safe default for most business use, and the best balance if you're writing on them regularly.
• 170gsm — thick and closer to a light card. Holds up well in packaging and gives a more premium impression, which suits slips enclosed with products rather than paperwork.

Single or Double Sided

Single sided keeps things clean and leaves the reverse free for handwritten notes — the most common choice, and the one to pick if people will be writing on them.

Double sided gives you room for additional branding, contact details, opening hours or a short promotional message. Worth considering if the slip is doing marketing work as well as courtesy, though bear in mind it leaves no clear space for handwriting.

Every file is checked by a real person before it goes to print, so obvious problems get flagged rather than printed. Please note we don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent jobs, or 3–4 working days for standard production. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed.

Turnaround is production time only and doesn't include delivery. Once dispatched, orders are sent by courier. Standard UK delivery is free on all compliment slip orders, whatever the quantity.

What's the minimum order?

What size are the compliment slips?
DL, 210 x 99mm. This fits standard DL envelopes without folding, and sits neatly alongside A4 paperwork.

No. This product covers one artwork design. If you need several, please add each as a separate item before checkout.

Yes — a real person checks every file to confirm it's correctly sized, has bleed, and is print-ready. We don't amend or fix artwork files.

Is delivery really free?
Yes. Standard UK delivery is included on all compliment slip orders, with no minimum spend.
