Christmas Card Printing
Folded Christmas cards in four sizes — from just 25, with free UK delivery.
Christmas Card Printing for Business and Personal Use
A printed Christmas card still lands differently to an email. For businesses it's a reminder that there are people behind the invoices, and it sits on a client's desk through December where nothing digital does. For personal cards, it's the same reason people keep sending them.
We print folded Christmas cards in four sizes, in runs from just 25, with multiple designs allowed in a single order. That low minimum means a small business or a family order is as straightforward as a corporate run of a thousand.
No Artwork? Design Online
You don't need a designer or design software. Our free online design tool lets you create your Christmas card in the browser — add your logo, photos, text and festive artwork, and see exactly how it will look before you order.
Useful if you're sending personal cards with a family photo, or if you're a small business without artwork ready to go. If you do have a print-ready PDF, you can upload that instead.
Sizes and Folding
Every card is supplied folded, and the sizes below are the finished size once folded — not the flat sheet.
- A5 (148 x 210mm) — the standard business Christmas card. Enough room for a proper design on the front and a printed greeting inside.
- A6 (105 x 148mm) — the classic personal card size, and the most economical to post.
- DL (99 x 210mm) — tall and slim, and a distinctive alternative to the usual formats.
- 148mm square — square cards stand out on a mantelpiece full of rectangles.
Choose long edge or short edge binding. Long edge folds down the longer side so the card opens like a book — the usual choice. Short edge folds along the shorter side so the card opens upwards, which suits landscape artwork.
Paper Stocks
- 300gsm Invercote — a premium coated board with a bright white surface and excellent colour reproduction. The best option where the artwork is doing the work.
- 350gsm Silk — smooth with a low sheen, and noticeably substantial in the hand. A good all-round choice.
- 350gsm Uncoated — the one to choose if you're writing inside by hand. Uncoated takes pen ink cleanly without smudging or beading, which coated stocks don't.
Worth thinking about how the cards will be used. If they're being signed individually — which most business cards are — uncoated is the practical choice. If the message is printed inside and nobody's writing on them, silk or Invercote will make the artwork look better.
Single or Double Sided
Single sided prints the outside of the card only, leaving the inside blank for a handwritten message.
Double sided prints the inside as well, so you can include a printed greeting, company message or contact details. The usual choice for business cards going out in volume, where signing several hundred by hand isn't practical.
Lamination
Gloss, matt and soft touch are available, each single or double sided. Single sided laminates the outside only; double sided laminates the inside too.
Gloss lifts colour saturation and suits image-led designs. Matt is understated and resists fingerprints. Soft touch is the most premium and the most noticeable when someone picks the card up.
One practical point: you can't write on a laminated surface with a standard pen. If cards are being signed by hand, choose single sided lamination at most, or leave them unlaminated.
Envelopes
Envelopes are available as an optional extra, sized to match your chosen card:
- 100gsm Standard — plain white, the everyday option.
- 100gsm Red — a festive alternative at the same weight.
- 120gsm Luxury — heavier and more substantial, for cards going to clients where the whole package should feel considered.
Christmas Ordering Deadline
Order by 15th December for delivery before Christmas. Bear in mind that turnaround is production time only and courier delivery is on top of that, so ordering earlier gives you room to get cards signed, stuffed and posted in time for the Royal Mail Christmas deadlines.
December is the busiest month in print. If you're sending a large run, ordering in November rather than December is the safer approach.
Artwork Requirements
Cards are supplied folded, so artwork should be set up as a flat sheet at twice the finished size, with the fold in the centre. Our templates handle this for you — download the one matching your chosen size and work within it.
- Bleed: 3mm all round
- Safe zone: 3mm
- Resolution: 300 dpi minimum
- Format: PDF, CMYK
- Fonts: outlined or embedded
Keep important content away from the fold line, and remember that on a double-sided card the inside is a separate area of the same flat sheet — the templates show where.
Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.
Turnaround & Delivery
Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent orders, or 3–4 working days for standard production. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed, and turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.
Standard UK delivery is free on all Christmas card orders, whatever the size or quantity. Collection from our Burnley facility is also available.
FAQs
What's the minimum order?
25 cards.
Are the cards folded?
Yes. All cards are supplied folded, and the size you choose is the finished folded size.
What if I don't have any artwork?
Use our free online design tool to create your card in the browser — add photos, text and festive designs without needing any software. You can also upload a print-ready PDF if you have one.
Can I have a message printed inside?
Yes — choose double sided printing. Single sided prints the outside only, leaving the inside blank for handwriting.
Are envelopes included?
Envelopes are an optional extra, available in 100gsm standard white, 100gsm red or 120gsm luxury, sized to match your card.
Which stock should I choose if we're signing them by hand?
350gsm uncoated, unlaminated. Coated and laminated surfaces don't take standard pen ink well.
Can I upload multiple designs?
Yes. Multiple artworks are allowed in a single order, so you can run different designs together.
When do I need to order by for Christmas?
Order by 15th December for delivery before Christmas. For large runs that need signing and posting, ordering in November is safer.
Is delivery really free?
Yes. Standard UK delivery is included on all Christmas card orders, with no minimum spend.
