Every other flag in our range needs a base buying separately, and the base often costs as much as the flag. This one doesn't — the hollow fillable base is included.

That's what makes it the cheapest way into flag advertising. One order, one price, everything you need to stand it up.

The Included Base

A hollow base that fills with water or sand on site. Empty it weighs 2.6kg, so the whole unit goes in a car boot easily. Filled, it's 15kg and holds the flag steady.

Fill it when you get there, not before you travel.

One compatibility note: the pole only fits the included base and our basic parasol base. Spigot-type bases used with our other flags won't work with it, so if you already own flag bases, check before assuming they'll fit.

Where It Fits in the Range

This is the budget option, and it's worth being clear about the trade-offs.

What you get: the lowest price in the range, the base included, and a flag that does the job indoors or out.

What you don't: only one size, single sided only, and no AirMesh option for exposed sites. At 2680mm it's also shorter than most of our other flags — the feather, teardrop, crest and fin ranges go up to 5140mm.

For a showroom, a shop doorway, an exhibition stand or an occasional event, it's the sensible choice. For a permanent roadside position or an exposed forecourt, spend the extra on a heavier system.

How It's Made

The graphic is a single piece of flag polyester, stitched along the top and side to form the right-angled, two-pocket shape that slides onto the pole.

A hem along the bottom edge carries a weighted nylon rod. That's what keeps the flag hanging properly rather than curling up in still air — a small detail that makes a visible difference to how it looks standing.

Push-fit assembly throughout, no tools needed.

Left-Facing or Right-Facing?

Right-facing puts the pole and base on the left of the graphic. Left-facing puts them on the right.

Choose based on which direction people approach from. Each orientation has its own artwork template and they aren't interchangeable.

Two Things Worth Knowing

It may lean slightly. Because of how flag poles and bases work, the unit can sit a degree or two off vertical depending on which way the flag faces. That's normal for this design rather than a fault. Filling the base fully and standing it on level ground keeps it to a minimum.

The base colour may vary. It's supplied in black as standard, but the exact shade and finish can differ depending on stock. If you're ordering several and want them identical, order them together.

Wind, Weather and Lifespan

Take the flag down above Beaufort 4 — 13 to 18mph. Heavy rain with wind is worse than wind alone, since a soaked flag gains weight and strains the pole.

Realistic lifespan is around six months of regular flying, depending on exposure and hours in the air.

Air pollution greys white areas and UV gradually fades the fabric. Position matters — a flag beside a busy road discolours faster than one in a sheltered spot.

Machine washable at 30°C with no detergent. Dry completely before storing.

Make sure the flag isn't snagging on its own pole or anything nearby, and don't site poles too close together.

Artwork Requirements

• Supply at the exact size of the template
• Fonts outlined, images embedded
• Important content inside the safe area line — background should run to the bleed line
• No template guide lines included or flattened into the file
• No crop marks, bleed marks or colour bars
• PDF preferred, AI or EPS also accepted

Free templates are available for both orientations. Note the graphic is 700mm wide against 1910mm tall, so design vertically — horizontal straplines don't work at this proportion.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Production takes 3–4 working days. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

Standard UK delivery is free on all flag orders, whatever the quantity. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.
