A paper business card has a short life. It goes in a wallet, then a drawer, then the bin — and when the boiler plays up eighteen months later, the customer is on Google looking for someone new.

A sticker doesn't move. Stuck to the fuse board, the boiler casing, the meter cupboard or the back of the appliance, your details are sitting there at the exact moment the next problem happens. The person who finds it is the person who fitted it.

Why High Tack Vinyl Matters

Standard sticker vinyl is designed for clean, smooth surfaces. Most of the places a trade sticker needs to go aren't clean or smooth.

High tack vinyl uses a more aggressive adhesive that grips dusty, textured and slightly uneven surfaces — a fuse board that hasn't been wiped in a decade, a powder-coated boiler casing, a scuffed consumer unit, the inside of a meter box. A standard sticker lifts at the corners within weeks on those surfaces. High tack stays put.

It's also waterproof, so it survives a damp garage, an outdoor meter cupboard or a boiler cupboard that gets condensation.

Where Trades Put Them

• Electricians — consumer units and fuse boards. The first thing anyone looks at when the power goes.
• Heating engineers and plumbers — boiler casings, cylinder cupboards, under sinks, on stopcocks.
• Gas engineers — alongside the service record, where the next annual check will find it.
• Appliance and white goods engineers — inside the door or on the back panel.
• Builders and joiners — inside cupboard doors, on loft hatches, in meter cupboards.
• Anyone with a van — toolboxes, flight cases, ladders, equipment that gets left on site.

The common thread is a surface that stays with the job long after you've left it.

Lamination

Available in gloss or matt, or leave them unlaminated.

Gloss deepens colour and adds a wipeable surface, which helps where the sticker will collect dust or get handled.

Matt is flatter and more understated, and easier to read at close range under a torch — worth thinking about, since a fuse board sticker often gets read in poor light.

Unlaminated is the most economical, and the vinyl is waterproof regardless. Lamination adds abrasion resistance rather than waterproofing.

Supplied on Sheets

Stickers come ten to a sheet, kiss-cut so they peel off individually while the backing sheet stays intact.

That's more practical than a roll for van use — a sheet slips into a folder, a clipboard or a job pack without unravelling, and you can tear off what you need for the day.

Note the 2mm bleed — that's specific to this product and differs from our standard 3mm.

One design point worth considering: a sticker on a fuse board gets read in a dark cupboard by someone holding a phone torch. Keep the phone number large and high contrast, and don't rely on a small logo doing the work.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

What size are they?

Can I remove them later?
They're designed to stay put. High tack adhesive is difficult to remove cleanly, particularly from painted or textured surfaces.
