Why Choose A1 Posters

A1 is where a poster stops being something you read and becomes something you can't miss. At 594 x 841mm it's four times the size of A3, big enough to work across a room, and the standard choice for exhibition boards, shop windows, event signage, academic posters and large-scale promotion.

The size does the work. Where A3 and A2 need someone to be reasonably close, A1 carries at distance — which makes it the right call for anywhere people are moving past rather than standing still.

We print A1 posters in full colour on silk stock, in runs from just 5, so a single display piece is as straightforward to order as a full campaign set.

Paper Stocks — Which Weight Do You Need?

We offer four silk stocks:

• 115gsm — our lightest and most economical option. Suits short-term promotion and posters that will be replaced regularly.
• 150gsm — a step up in body, and the most popular general-purpose choice. Good for most indoor display.
• 170gsm — noticeably more substantial. Better for posters that need to stay up longer or handle being moved between locations.
• 250gsm — our heaviest stock. Holds its shape well at this size, which matters for board mounting, freestanding display, and anything that needs to look sharp for an extended run.

Stock weight matters more at A1 than at smaller sizes. A large sheet on lightweight paper will curl and ripple once it's up, so if the poster is going somewhere visible for any length of time, the heavier weights are worth the difference.

All stocks are available single or double sided. Double-sided costs slightly more and suits hanging or window displays where the poster is visible from both directions.

Size & Artwork Requirements

Finished size is 594 x 841mm. With bleed, artwork should be supplied at 600 x 847mm.

Free blank templates are available for the full Adobe Suite to help you set your artwork up correctly.

Every file is checked by a real person before it goes to print, so obvious problems get flagged rather than printed. Please note we don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

A note on resolution at this size: artwork that looks fine on screen or at A4 can fall apart when scaled to A1. Check your images are genuinely 300dpi at full size rather than upscaled from something smaller.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day or 3 working day turnaround. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed, so a 1-day order placed on Monday is dispatched Wednesday.

Turnaround is production time only and doesn't include delivery. Once dispatched, orders are sent on a next day courier service. Standard UK delivery is free on all A1 poster orders, whatever the quantity.

Collection from our Burnley facility is also available if you'd rather pick up.

What size is A1 with bleed?
Finished A1 is 594 x 841mm. With 3mm bleed on all sides, supply your artwork at 600 x 847mm.

What's the minimum order?
Just 5 posters, so a single display piece is no problem.

Which paper weight should I choose?
115gsm and 150gsm suit short-term indoor display. 170gsm is better for longer runs or posters that get moved around. 250gsm is the heaviest and holds its shape best, which matters at this size.

Can I have them printed double sided?
Yes. Single or double sided is available on every stock. Double sided costs a little more.

How long will they take to arrive?
Choose 1 or 3 working days production, starting the day after you order. Delivery is on top of that, sent next day by courier once dispatched.

Do you check my artwork?
Yes — a real person checks every file before printing. We'll flag problems, but we don't make changes or fixes, so please supply print-ready files.

Is delivery really free?
Yes. Standard UK delivery is included on all A1 poster orders, with no minimum spend.
