Display That Survives Being Outdoors

Most display kit isn't built for weather. A roller banner blows over, a foam board sign turns to pulp, and anything light enough to carry easily is light enough to end up in a hedge.

Promotional Flags

The most visible thing you can put on a forecourt. All our flags use collapsible aluminium and GRP poles and include a carry bag. Bases are chosen separately to suit the ground.

• Feather flags — the right-angle shape, with the largest usable print area of the range. Four sizes to 5140mm.
• Teardrop flags — the classic promotional curve, held under tension so the graphic stays taut. Four sizes to 4350mm.
• Crest flags — vertically symmetrical, so it keeps its shape whichever way the wind blows. Four sizes to 5140mm.
• Fin flags — narrow beach-style profile. Catches less wind and takes less ground, which suits routes and coastal positions.
• Cheap feather flags — our budget option, and the only flag with the base included. One size, single sided.
• Portable outdoor flag system — 4m and 5m with a folding water-fillable base. The tallest in the range.
• Flag bases and accessories — ground spikes, parasol bases, cross-braces, wall mounts and carry bags.

Which Flag Shape?

They all do the same job, and the differences are practical rather than cosmetic.

Feather gives the most usable print area, because the square top keeps full width where the eye lands first. Teardrop is the most recognisable and holds its shape well in light wind. Crest is symmetrical, so it looks composed from either side. Fin is the narrowest — less wind resistance and less ground taken, which matters if you're placing several in a line.

Café Barriers

For defining outdoor seating, queuing areas and forecourt boundaries. Steel posts, weighted bases and bespoke printed graphics, in 1000, 1500 and 2000 sizes.

• Café barriers — powder-coated black steel with a pole pocket along the top.
• Premium café barriers — chrome-finished stainless steel, with pole pockets top and bottom so the graphic sits flatter. For frontages where the hardware is part of the look.

Both use full kits and extension kits. For a run, order one full kit and an extension for each additional panel — cheaper than multiple full kits, and it avoids doubling up posts.

Banner Stands and Frames

• Outdoor banner stand — 800 x 2000mm with a water-fillable base. Travels at 3.6kg, stands at 15kg. Six minutes, one person.
• Outdoor banner frame — freestanding 3m x 1m aluminium frame with a 440gsm PVC banner, single or double sided. Can be ground-fixed for permanent positions.
• Lamp post banners — 800 x 2000mm double-sided blockout PVC with aluminium brackets and jubilee clips. Turns existing street furniture into advertising.
• Outdoor roller banners — 440gsm waterproof PVC with a weatherproof cassette, printed double sided.

Pavement and Street Level

• Pavement swing signs — steel frame and double-sided panel in four sizes, with a weighted base. The permanent option.
• Temporary A-boards — fold-and-interlock correx boards in six sizes, supplied in packs. Cheap enough to put out twenty at an event.
• Bollard covers — three-sided printed covers for bollards up to 205mm, no tools or glue needed.

Wind Is the Thing That Breaks Outdoor Display

Worth saying plainly, because it's the single biggest cause of damage across everything on this page.

Most of our outdoor products are rated to Beaufort scale 4 — 13 to 18mph, a moderate breeze with small branches moving. Below that, a properly weighted display holds. Above it, take the graphic down.

Heavy rain with wind is worse than wind alone. A soaked flag or barrier graphic gains significant weight, and that goes straight into the pole, the fittings and the stitching.

The other rules are simple: fill weighted bases fully, stand things on level ground, don't site poles close enough to catch on each other, and take lightweight kit indoors overnight.

Solid Fabric or Mesh?

A choice that comes up across the flags and café barriers, and it's about the site rather than the product.

Solid fabric — flag polyester or display polyester — gives denser colour and a crisper print. The better-looking option in normal conditions.

Mesh — AirMesh or Fabric Mesh Premium — is perforated, so wind passes through rather than pushing against it. Colour is slightly less dense as a result, but on an exposed coastal or open site it takes far less punishment and lasts longer.

Lifespan

Outdoor graphics are consumables rather than permanent fixtures, and it's better to know that up front.

Flags realistically last around six months of regular flying. Café barrier graphics around a year. Both depend entirely on exposure and hours in use — something out at weekends in a sheltered spot will outlast the same item flying continuously on an exposed roadside.

Air pollution greys white areas, and UV gradually fades the fabric. Most graphics can be washed at 30°C with no detergent, which helps.

The hardware outlasts the graphic several times over on every product here, so replacement graphics can be ordered on their own — a campaign change means a new graphic, not a new system.

Artwork

Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK. Free templates are available for every product and size, and they matter more here than on flat print — flags, barriers and folded products all have hems, pole pockets, sleeves and fold lines that the template accounts for.

Two things that catch people out: Pantone colours can't be reproduced by dye-sublimation, so convert to CMYK before supplying, and template guide lines must be removed before exporting.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Most products take 3–4 working days, with bollard covers at 4 days. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.
